[Watercolor] 丹頂 | Japanese Cranes

Hello Friends!

How are you ? So it’s been a long time since my last post in here, and right now i will post my watercolor artwork. I paint a Japanese cranes (Stork) / Red Crowned crane  in Japan it’s called as Tanchou 「丹頂」. This crane was one of the rarest crane in the world. In Japan itself this crane was believe brings luck, longevity, and fidelity. Some Japanese literature said that this crane can live more than 1000 years.

inside the painting i put a Haiku. Haiku is a Japanese short poetry, usually haiku use 17 syllables, consist with 5-7-5 form

The haiku says




Fu-yu Ta-ma-shi

Ha-ba-ta-ki Tsu-ba-sa

Shi-ro-i To-ri

Meaning :

White bird flapping wings winter soul | A white bird flapping their wings in the winter and spread their soul
